Mieke Mosmuller-Crull was born in Amsterdam in1951. She attended the Barlaeus Gymnasium and consequently studied medicine at the University of Amsterdam. In 1977 she married her friend and colleague Jos Mosmuller. They settled as pharmaceutical physicians in Limbricht (Sittard), where their three children were born. Since they felt limited within their own speciality, Mieke and Jos Mosmuller widened their knowledge of homeopathy. They found the explanation for the medical working of these remedies in the anthroposophy of Rudolf Steiner. From1984 till1998 both were members of the Anthroposophical Society and at the same time of the Freie Hochschule für Geistes-Wissenschaft.
The life of Mieke Mosmuller is dominated by anthroposophy. Rudolf Steiner’s books made a deep impression on her and never let go of her again. Through intensive studies and meditation she developed a very strong inner awareness which led to “ thinking that came to real life and the understanding by itself aroused into a living creature. “That path she wants to share with as many people as possible.
In 1994 her first book was published, “Seek the light that rises in the west.” Ever since she published 30 books, of which in the meantime a number appeared in German and English. On the website of the Publishing House Occident you will find her extensive work.
Publishing House Occident is under the direction of Jos Mosmuller, who is the most important incentive behind the books of his wife. He has laid the cornerstone to publicize her work, since he considers her experiences something irreplaceable and unique.“Jos is the protofriend of my work”, Mieke Mosmuller has mentioned at some time.
